Dorel Juvenile Group Responds to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Report
Today a report was released by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) regarding the lap and shoulder belt fit of certain belt-positioning booster car seats. Dorel Juvenile Group welcomes the opportunity to review the evaluation conducted by the IIHS utilized for their report issued on October 1, 2008.
Dorel Juvenile Group's child restraint systems, including belt-positioning booster car seats, meet or exceed all federal regulations put forth by the U.S. Government. As stated in the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association's (JPMA) response to this matter, Dorel Juvenile Group would like to remind consumers that the use of a belt-positioning booster car seat significantly reduces the risk of injury versus not using a belt-positioning booster car seat.
